About Us

It is our goal, as the West Baton Rouge Parish Parks and Recreation West Baton Rouge ParishParks and Recreation Department, to create recreational opportunities for growth and enhancement by developing diverse services and programs that promote community involvement and a strong sense of citizenship while striving to increase the physical, social and cultural well-being of our residents and visitors.


General Information

  • Parks and Recreation operates and maintains 6 community centers in the parish:  2 in Port Allen, 2 in Addis, 1 in Brusly, and  1 in Erwinville
  • Parks and Recreation also has 7 public parks with facilities available for booking; 3 public parks without additional facilities;  a tennis complex, the Louis Mouch, Jr. Multi-Purpose Facility, and the Williams and Lee Pool and Recreation Hall

Facilities

  • Parks with facilities available for bookings include:  Alexander Park, Erwinville Park, Lukeville Park, Myhand Park, Rivault Park, Soccer Complex, and Williams and Lee Park
  • Public parks without booking facilities include:  Mulatto Bend Park, Rev. Manuel Park, and Winterville Park

Booking a Facility

When booking a West Baton Rouge Parish Community Center,  the person booking the facility must be a resident of West Baton Rouge Parish. A valid state-issued identification card and 2 additional forms of identification must be provided at the time of the booking. 

For booking a park, only a valid driver's license is necessary.

FORMS OF PAYMENT :  NO CASH -checks, money orders, or credit/debit cards only. The check or money order must match the name of the person booking the facility and credit/debit cards will have a 3% non-refundable convenience fee added.

Friday:  8 AM- 12 PM
