Behind the Barn Doors
The Museum showcases the big red barn that anchors its six acre campus. The spotlight will be on the importance of keeping historic crafts and trades alive as well as the workshops and hands-on activities the museum offers year-round.

Blues After School
Blues After School is a music education program that provides FREE instrument and Blues band instruction for middle school aged students and up. For more information, contact the Museum.

Café Français
Speakers of any French dialect and any skill level are welcome to come participate in a monthly discussion and practice their French speaking skills.

Historical Happy Hour
Every 3rd Friday of the month, the drinks are on you and the history is on us! Visit the Museum from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM for LIVE music at the Juke Joint and explore rotating exhibits. This FREE event is open to the public.

Cajun Jam
As a part of its cultural offerings, the Museum hosts a monthly Cajun Jam on the 3rd Sunday of every month from 3 - 5 PM. Jam sessions are open for any musician to join in to play traditional Louisiana songs. This program is FREE and open to the public.

Lunchtime Lecture
This program features guest lecturers including scholars, historians, artists and book authors to name a few who speak on topics that accompany permanent and changing exhibits.

Old Time Music Open Jam
As a part of its cultural offerings, the museum hosts its monthly Old Time Music Open Jam on the 2nd Sunday of the month, from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM. Jam sessions are open for any musician to join in to play tunes including Country, Bluegrass, Gospel, Cajun, and Folk music. This program is FREE and open to the public.
